5 “Outside-the-Box” Anti-Aging Secrets to Look Years Younger

We all want youthful, glowing skin... and a million bucks and the perfect man and an exotic beach excursion, right? Of course, we do! But the skin thing is actually attainable!

I'd like to share some things that maybe you haven't thought of or associated with having effects on your skin’s health and appearance. And definitely, these factors do impact the apparent age of your skin as well.

We all know if we want healthy skin and a healthy body we must have adequate sleep, proper hydration and eat a clean organic diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables... and using high-quality natural products for our skin care is, of course, a must!

But here are 5 “out-of-the-box” things I do daily in addition to the “given” ones mentioned above to manifest youthful, radiant skin. And they really work!

1. Conscious Focus: See, I have been obsessed with luminous skin all my life. It's what I've tended to focus on consistently and one thing I know is that whatever we focus on consistently grows larger and sharper in our lives. Like a camera lens. It shows up!

Every morning as I walk my dog I change my breathing and physiology by getting my heart rate up (tips from life coach Tony Robbins) and I say my mantras for the day. One of the mantras I repeat daily is, “I am in perfect, divine health and I have radiant youthful skin!!” I feel and see myself being the perfect picture of health and having youthful, radiant skin. And I do!


Just a year ago I made a vision board and one of the things I put on it were pics and words showing and describing healthy, radiant and glowing skin. Now here I am writing a blog on the very thing! What we focus on has an enormous impact on our lives. So focus on what you want and desire and deal with the problems, yes, but definitely do not dwell on them.

2. Practice Forgiveness: You may be thinking what does forgiveness have to do with radiant skin? Well, a lot, let me tell you. When you hold negative, low vibration

emotions within your body and mind (such as anger, bitterness, sadness, pain, and regrets) where exactly do you think they live? These energies are not just mental concepts. They are actual energetic frequencies that live in your cells.


When we release the past, our energy is transformed; we tune into the high, natural frequencies that are very healing and beautifying in nature. For example, worry, anger, resentment are all low-frequency energies and are often seen to be linked to disease, early aging, dullness of skin; many times skin issues like acne and hives as well (scientific studies correlate both acne and skin inflammation with high levels of stress).

Release the past and you will feel lighter and happier and so will your cells and skin...and it will show! Trust me. I have a lot of friends that report breakouts any time they get angry. This is just the body's way of releasing this negative emotion through our skin.

A good practice for achieving forgiveness is to lie down and listen to any one of the numerous forgiveness meditations available on YouTube. You can also write a letter getting it all out and then burn it, drown it on water, whatever metaphor works to help you feel you are physically and emotionally letting it go.

Another thing to note is that you inner radiance will shine through when you are practicing a spiritual path based on love, compassion, and forgiveness. It is a proven scientific fact that the higher vibrational frequencies emit more light and higher frequencies are natural to your being when they are not blocked by these negative emotions and thoughts.

3. Get a Massage: If you can afford to, go get a massage. This keeps the energy flowing within the body and we all know what happens when energy gets blocked and stagnant.

It isn’t pretty! If you can't afford a massage on a regular basis, a good alternative is to clear your chakras through sound and meditation. There are many great meditations on YouTube for this. It's even proven that listening to the frequency 432 mghz has healing abilities. Plants absolutely love this frequency and thrive when listening. Many organic farmers are now playing music to their crops and seeing astonishing results! Brilliant!

Don't carry the stress of the day into the night and into the ethereal state with you. I promise, try it and you'll be a believer. You will fall asleep more quickly, sleep deeper and wake up feeling lighter. Your skin repairs itself (like the rest of your body) overnight, and a deep, relaxed sleep is the key to this process. Be sure to do your skin care routine before bed so your skin can be exposed to healing natural ingredients while it rests and rejuvenates. Indeed a good night’s sleep shows on the skin in the morning.
