The holiday season is here and a brand new year is just round the corner. We all want to look our glowing, youthful best to ring in the new year and light up those much anticipated parties and festivities. A fair expectation I’d say. But isn’t flawless skin something we get over weeks and months, not days, you wonder. The answer is no. With the right ingredients and a natural daily skin care routine, you can get healthy, glowing and youthful skin in little time.

I absolutely insist that you refrain from spending huge amounts on skin care products that are filled with nasty chemicals. That is no way to get flawless and healthy skin. Such products are damaging and toxic, and can do far more damage than good. Go natural, feed your skin high quality ingredients; just as you would feed your body.

That being said, I am going to give you quick 10 natural recipes that will become your go-to home remedies to revive your skin and get it to look like a million bucks for this holiday season and beyond.

In addition I will give you a piece of advice that will stand to become your skin’s best friend forever. Figure out your skin type and then start a daily and weekly skin care routine composed of high quality natural products. Home remedies are wonderful, but as you can imagine they cannot take the place of daily care. Why? Because they do not remain on your skin for 24 hours everyday.

So let’s get started.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar for Firm & Spotless Skin

ACV is acidic in nature and that is why it is as beneficial as we know it to be. Our skin is slightly acidic in PH to remain protected from bacteria and atmospheric threats. When used properly apple cider vinegar maintains and encourages this balance. Its acidic nature also makes it an excellent astringent and pore tightener. But proper dilution is the key. Used undiluted, ACV can dry out the skin and irritate it.

Ingredients

Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 tsp

Rosewater, 5 tsp

Method

Take the rosewater and ACV together in a bowl and mix them well. Use a cotton ball to dab it all over your face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Avoid this remedy if you have sensitive skin. Repeat it 1-2 times a week. Follow with your serum and lotion.

2. Aloe Vera Gel to Fade Blemishes

Aloe Vera gel is known for its ability to reduce scars and dark spots. Its regular use can also even out your skin tone, repair skin damage and also reduce appearance of wrinkles. All Apsara lotions contain aloe vere juice in them. This is chiefly because of the plant hormones in aloe that help the skin resurface quickly.

Ingredients

Aloe vera leaf or store bought high quality aloe gel

Method

Take a fresh leaf from aloe plant and slice it. Use a spoon to scoop out the gel present

inside the leaf. Use your fingertips to massage this gel on your face. Leave it on for 30 minutes before washing it off with warm water. Follow with toner, serum and lotion meant for your skin type.
