Peanut butter, turmeric, and tomatoes; they’re not ingredients that you would normally associate together. By themselves, they’re really tasty; think childhood PB&J sandwiches, spicy turmeric-infused curries, and warm tomato soup. But if you put them together? I guess the best case scenario would be a caprese salad with peanut butter instead of mozzarella or a nutty, tomato-based chutney… hold on for a second, we might be onto something...

Anyway, now that our stomachs are full and we can think more clearly, let’s get back to the matter at hand. Mixing these three ingredients could be a recipe for disaster for your stomach and taste buds, but it’s a different story when it comes to your skin. These three ingredients can work together to deeply nourish your skin and fade discoloration. Each of these ingredients contains vitamins and nutrients that your skin will love, and you will probably have these ingredients in your home right now.

That being said, let me share some of my favorite peanut butter, turmeric, and tomato remedies that you can use to get healthy, even-toned skin within days of regular use!

1. Peanut Butter & Papaya Face Mask for Even, Flawless Skin

Because of the potassium, antioxidants, and fatty acids in peanut butter, this natural ingredient has moisturizing properties that reduce swelling and keep your skin smooth and soft. Plus, papaya contains an enzyme called papain that can get rid your skin issues such as age spots, blemishes, acne, and discoloration.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of smooth peanut butter

1 tbsp. of mashed green papaya

Aloe vera, as needed

Method

Mix peanut butter and papaya together. Add enough aloe vera to the mixture until you get the consistency of ketchup.

Apply the mixture and leave it on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with a daily skin care routine based on your skin type. Click here to find out what your skin type is.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

4. Tomato & Peanut Butter Face Mask to Deeply Nourish and Even Out Skin

Tomatoes will help provide balance to your skin. Tomatoes have astringent properties that shrink open pores and reduce excess oiliness; because of this, you can use tomatoes to diminish acne and blackheads. Tomatoes are also a rich source of antioxidants, such as lycopene, that provides an organic barrier against aging and evens out the skin tone, which results in flawless, ageless skin. When you combine tomatoes with peanut butter, you can alleviate dryness and keep your skin healthy.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of smooth peanut butter

⅛ tsp. of tamarind paste

Tomato juice, as needed

Method

Mix peanut butter and tamarind together. Add enough tomato juice to the mixture until you get the consistency of ketchup.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with your daily skin care routine.
