1. Aloe Vera & Citrus Paste for Glowing Skin Free of Dark Spots
Aloe vera can be used to reduce the effects of melasma and hyperpigmentation due to its outstanding antioxidant activity. The antioxidants in aloe vera help reduce inflammation and neutralize free radicals, both of which may be causing discoloration and dark spots to form on your skin. Since UV radiation from the sun is typically how our skin receives free radicals, using aloe vera can protect our skin from sun damage and keep it healthy and nourished, which reduces the risk of developing skin issues such as melasma, inflammation, and hyperpigmentation.

2. Aloe Vera Remedy to Dab Away Those Pesky Dark Spots
Besides antioxidants, though, aloe vera contains many nutrients (in both the gel and the juice) that are able to reduce hyperpigmentation. This natural ingredient has been
shown to inhibit tyrosinase, an enzyme that can produce excess melanin in your skin; excess melanin can lead to patchiness of skin or dark spots. Plus, aloe vera has been linked to improving collagen production, and there have been studies that show topical aloe vera can heal wounds at a faster rate and reduce scarring. This may be because of the auxins and gibberellins - two plant hormones - found in aloe vera.
