Similar to blackheads, whiteheads are formed under the skin covering clogged pores but are white or yellowish in color. Pores in your skin can be clogged due to sebum, dirt, bacteria and dead skin. Acne-prone skin tends to be more affected by whiteheads since the excess oil produced hardens up, giving rise to clogged pores.
Hormonal changes during life stages like puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, etc. can be a reason behind your acne and whitehead-prone skin. However, genetics too plays a significant role in the development of acne and whiteheads. Last but most definitely, a very important reason behind the development of whiteheads is the usage of skin care products made with harsh chemical ingredients. These are well-known to irritate your skin and cause an underlying dryness, which results in excess oil production and leads up to whiteheads and acne.hormone results in an overproduction of sebum, which means even more whiteheads.
So don’t stress! Fight your whiteheads with these super-easy-to-use natural home remedies and see the difference for yourself.
