Your eyes are the first part of your face that another person connects with. They express how you’re feeling, what you’re thinking, and reflect the environment around you. An eye serum or DIY remedy with sweet almond oil will keep your eyes looking bright by addressing dark under eye circles, wrinkles, and puffiness. Our eyes take in the wonderful world around us and deserve the extra special benefits of a daily eye serum and a weekly home remedy to supplement it. A natural eye serum full of natural, nourishing ingredients can be used every day to keep that sensitive skin around the eyes looking youthful and healthy. Honestly, an eye serum worth any notice is incomplete without sweet almond oil as one of the main ingredients. Is sweet almond oil really that hot? Yes. And it has a solid history behind it too. It is not your latest lab-made synthetic chemical with no data behind it. So what makes sweet almond a SUPER MUST? Read on to find out.

Wrinkles and crow's feet around the eyes are a sure sign that you are loving life and living it to the fullest. The more you smile and laugh, the more little fine lines you accrue around your eyes. On the flip side of the coin, perhaps you are stressed out, staring at your computer screen for too many hours a day, prematurely aging, or simply in need of proper sleep.

Have no fear, the answer is not to smile or laugh less. Although it is definitely to reduce stress, dim the brightness of your computer screen, and say OM with a deep inhalation many times a day.

"I used [Apsara's Cucumber Under Eye Serum] and within a month, it significantly reduced my wrinkles and fine lines around my eye area. It’s worth every penny, and I highly recommend it."

If you are on the run with work, kids, deadlines etc. you likely don’t have the time to whip up a home remedy to keep your eye area in pristine health and appearance. However, you could throw one together over the weekend. Here is a fantastic and super easy home remedy to reduce those dark under eye circles, lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet. Of course, it features sweet almond oil.

Ingredients

1 tsp. of sweet almond oil

1 tsp. of brewed green tea (cooled)

1/2 tsp. of smooth peanut butter

Water to thin out (if needed)

Instructions

Mix well with a fork to form a creamy consistency. Dip a cotton ball in this mix and dab over your eye area. Gently massage in with your ring finger (about 2-3 minutes). Don't get inside the eyes. Leave on for another 10 minutes and then gently wipe with a wet towel. Follow with your eye serum.

There is nothing like a high-quality eye serum to restore that natural elasticity and health to the delicate skin around your eyes. This eye serum should be used twice a day (am and pm). A gentle massage and done! However, keep in mind that under and over eye dark circles are one of the top stubborn skin issues and patience and persistence is the key. What is even more important is to choose with utmost caution. Of all the skin care products, the ones that touch your eyes must be extremely carefully picked.

Here is a personal story: Years ago I got a free eye serum sample at the mall from a very well known and premium skin care brand. This was much before I began work on Apsara products. After a couple of days of applying it, I wound up with an eczema patch on my right eyelid. The correlation was obvious. I stopped at once, but sadly every now and then I still get a mini flare up at the exact same spot. Hmmm!

An eye serum containing sweet almond oil is not greasy, and it is absorbed easily enough that skin around your eye area looks nourished and plump in a short time. A high-quality precious oil like sweet almond can reduce the loss of hydration by the skin, thereby keeping it plumper. That means a reduced look of lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet.

An eye serum with sweet almond oil is also wonderful for the health of your cell membranes. As skin cells age, it becomes more difficult for them to retain moisture, and this can often lead to a sagging or drooping appearance. In comes sweet almond oil and your cells can feel a surge of nourishment and hydration, both necessary to keep them youthful and functioning at their best.

When you think of sweet almond oil in your eye serum, think superior anti-aging properties. After all, it is not for nothing that sweet almond oil has withstood the test of time and maintained its reputation as an effective anti-aging ingredient in Ayurveda.

In addition to its amazing anti-aging properties, regular usage of sweet almond oil can help with dark under eye circles and crow's feet as well. How? We may not know precisely, but I have 2 theories.

One is that sweet almond oil is a rich source of vitamin E, which is a well-respected antioxidant. This can help sweet almond oil reverse free radical damage (due to overexposure to sun, stress, unhealthy diet) that can lead up to dark under eye circles.

Two is that as sweet almond oil raises skin nourishment and reduces dryness of skin, the eye area responds by looking calm and less pigmented. Do remember that undernourished and dehydrated skin tends to look darker and more pigmented.

Now with all this, I am pretty sure I have made quite the case for sweet almond oil as a must-have ingredient in your daily eye serum as well as a DIY home remedy for an eye area that is youthful, healthy and free of problems.

Sweet almond oil that is used in an eye serum is not to be confused with its cousin, bitter almond oil, which contains a form of cyanide. While both come from two different subspecies of a Middle Eastern tree closely related to the peach, sweet almond trees are marked by white flowers, and bitter almond trees are marked by pink flowers. The extract from the sweet almond tree is popular in many skin care products, and the emollient property of its oil makes it a perfect candidate for an eye serum. This precious oil doesn’t clog pores, spreads easily, and gives an eye serum or your home remedy a lovely, nutty aroma.
