These 3 oatmeal and turmeric anti-aging, antioxidant face masks are easy to make and can diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles. If you already have oatmeal and turmeric in your kitchen cupboards, what are you waiting for? Continue reading to learn how you can use these ingredients to get firm, ageless skin now.

1. Oatmeal & Turmeric Mask to Exfoliate Dead Cells & Diminish Inflammation

To maintain soft, youthful skin, you must give oatmeal a try. While it may look unassuming, oatmeal is quite potent. It contains a host of properties that can contribute to a more ageless appearance. First, oatmeal is a natural exfoliant; it can slough up dead cells on the surface of your skin without irritating sensitive skin or causing any redness and excess dryness. By getting rid of these dead cells, more youthful cells can surface and lines and wrinkles may start to look less prominent. Second, oatmeal can leave your skin firm, soft, and plump. Not only can oatmeal help moisturize your skin, but it is also anti-inflammatory, meaning it can calm your skin down and keep your skin cells healthy. Third, due to the saponins found in it, oatmeal is naturally cleansing and can remove impurities like oil and dirt from your pores. If that wasn’t enough, oatmeal is very easy to use. If you don’t feel like exfoliating your skin, you can grind oatmeal up into a fine powder and turn it into oat flour, which can then be used to make an anti-aging, antioxidant homemade face mask to firm up your skin.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of oat flour

⅛ tsp. of turmeric powder

Almond milk, as needed

Instructions

Mix the oat flour and turmeric together. Add enough almond milk to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply and leave the mask on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with your toner, serum, and lotion.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

2. Oatmeal & Turmeric Mask for Bright, Ageless Skin

Turmeric is an anti-aging ingredient that is always within arm’s reach for us. Turmeric has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years as a beautifying and skin-perfecting natural ingredient. We now know the science behind that, which is due to the curcumin found within turmeric. Curcumin is a compound that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which makes turmeric an anti-aging powerhouse. Many people have used turmeric to diminish the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles, mitigate the effects of free radical damage, improve skin glow, and so much more. Using too much turmeric can stain your skin with a yellow hue that will take days to get rid of. However, using just enough turmeric, as you will see in each of the remedies found in this article, can help your skin look firmer and more stunning than ever before.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of oat flour

¼ tsp. of turmeric powder

10 drops Vitamin E oil

Aloe juice, as needed

Instructions

Mix the oat flour, turmeric, and Vitamin E oil together. Add enough aloe juice to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply the mask and leave it on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash the mask off with warm water. Follow with a daily skin care routine based on your skin type. Click here to find out what your skin type is.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

3. Oatmeal & Turmeric Mask for Soft, Plump, Firm Skin

Combining oatmeal and turmeric into one remedy is perfect for your anti-aging needs. However, there are other natural ingredients you can add that will also help improve the overall condition of your skin. Fuller’s earth, for example, is a natural clay that absorbs excess oiliness as well as cleanses dirt and other impurities from your pores. This, in turn, can eliminate acne and make your skin look healthier and more glowing. On another note, vegetable glycerin is a natural ingredient that can moisturize your skin because it is a humectant, meaning it will attract moisture towards your skin. Since dry skin tends to show premature signs of aging more so than nourished skin, keeping our skin moisturized is a simple way of looking youthful in a snap.

Ingredients

1 tsp. of oat flour

⅛ tsp. of turmeric powder

8 drops of vegetable glycerin

1 tsp. of fuller's earth clay [Multani mitti]

Rosewater, as needed

Instructions

Mix the oat flour, turmeric, vegetable glycerin, and fuller’s earth together. Add enough rosewater to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply and leave the mask on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash the mask off with warm water. Then use your daily skin care routine.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.
