Nobody ever wants to wake up to the sight of under-eye dark circles on their skin. Many people point to their lack of sleep when they see those dark circles, but in reality, sleep isn’t the only factor. Even if you get enough sleep every night and wake up feeling refreshed and energized, you may still develop under-eye dark circles. Factors such as genetics, inflammation, stress, and aging can all contribute to this unfortunate skin issue. So if sleep isn’t the solution for everyone, we must try another approach, one that can fade under-eye dark circles effectively without irritating our eyes or making the problem worse.
On that note, the 3 home remedies found below can do just the trick. These DIYs can fade under-eye dark circles quickly and help your eyes look stunning and beautiful. Don’t get enough regular sleep? Tired of using makeup to cover up those dark circles? Use these remedies so that people won’t be able to tell the difference!
1. Red Grape Dab-On for Youthful, Even Eyes
If you don’t regularly apply makeup around your eyes, you may not know that the under-eye area is very sensitive. As a result, there are a number of factors that can easily influence the formation of under-eye dark circles. One such factor is free radicals. Free radicals are compounds that are capable of damaging your skin cells and disrupting normal cell function. If the skin around your eyes is not properly nourished or protected, under-eye dark circles may unexpectedly pop up on your skin.
To neutralize these free radicals and prevent them from doing any more harm to your skin, you must utilize antioxidants, which can be found in many natural ingredients. Red grapes, for instance, are rich in antioxidants known as polyphenols. One special polyphenol found in red grapes is resveratrol, which has been touted for its anti-aging properties. This could be good news for you if you have crow’s feet as well as under-eye dark circles.

1 tbsp. of aloe gel

Mix the ingredients together.
Dab the remedy on with a cotton ball. Wipe it off in 15 minutes.
Follow with your natural eye serum.
Use 1 to 2 times a week.

2. Cucumber Dab-On to Nourish Your Eye Area & Make It More Glowing
Using cucumbers on your skin can help you feel as though you are at the spa, but in reality, they are not just decorative. Cucumbers have the ability to diminish under-eye dark circles because of caffeic acid, which is an antioxidant. Caffeic acid helps contribute to the cooling, soothing effect that occurs when cucumbers or cucumber juice is applied on the skin. Less inflammation can translate to less eye puffiness and more even skin.
Aside from caffeic acid, cucumbers are a good source of Vitamin K and Vitamin C. As we mentioned above, your under-eye area is very delicate, and underneath the skin, there are blood vessels. If those blood vessels burst, your skin will bruise and the result can resemble a dark circle. Vitamin K can heal those blood vessels and calm down inflammation, perfect for keeping your eyes stunning and gorgeous. Alternatively, since Vitamin C is known to promote collagen production, using Vitamin C may bolster the skin in your eye area and make it less vulnerable to forming under-eye dark circles.
Ingredients
1 tbsp. of fresh cucumber juice
5 drops of Vitamin E oil
⅛ tsp. of turmeric powder
Instructions
Mix the ingredients together.
Dab the remedy on with a cotton ball. Wipe it off in 15 minutes.
Follow with your natural eye serum.
Use 1 to 2 times a week.
3. Coffee DIY to Eliminate Under-Eye Dark Circles & Eye Puffiness in a Jiffy
A cup of coffee or two can energize you in the morning, but did you know that it can also wake your skin up? The caffeine in coffee can fade those under-eye dark circles and make your skin look brighter as a result. In addition to being an antioxidant, caffeine can tighten blood vessels because it is a vasoconstrictor. Under-eye dark circles and eye puffiness can become more prominent when the blood vessels under your eyes are larger or more dilated so making the blood vessels around your eye area smaller with coffee is a good way of diminishing the appearance of these eye issues. Furthermore, coffee can stimulate your skin, which increases blood flow to the skin and can lead to a more glowing and even complexion.

Cool brewed instant coffee, as needed

Apply the remedy on with a cotton ball. Leave it on for 15 minutes.
