Even though many of us want to develop a beautiful head of hair, irregular hair growth is a common problem. Your hair may not be as thick as you would like it, it may stop growing at a certain length, or it may take a long time to grow at all. This process may make you want to pull your hair out in exasperation, but don’t give up! Growing gorgeous hair is possible if you’re willing to make a few changes. In addition to regularly using a natural hair care routine, you should consider using a natural DIY that is rich in nutrients your hair will love.

Today, you will discover how to boost hair growth with these 3 natural DIY remedies. These DIYs are capable of nourishing your hair follicles, healing your hair strands, and maintaining a healthy scalp. Once your hair and scalp are in a healthy state, the process of hair growth can begin. Ready to start growing the hair of your dreams? Keep reading to find out how to make these DIYs at home.

1. Moisturizing DIY Hair Oil to Encourage Long, Thick, Shiny Hair

If your hair is thin and you want it to be thicker and shinier, you must apply a natural hair oil. Dryness is one of the reasons why many people suffer from thin, brittle hair and slow hair growth. When your hair is dry, that is often the case from root to tip. As a result, to eliminate dryness, you need to take care of your hair from the hair follicle all the way to the end of the hair strand. Beauty oils like castor oil and almond oil can work wonders in this regard because they typically have a high acid fatty content. These fatty acids can deeply penetrate and repair your hair follicles and hair strands. Nourished hair strands more likely lead to thicker, shinier hair while nourished hair follicles help improve hair growth. Since fatty acids don’t inherently moisturize your hair (they can only seal in moisture), pairing a beauty oil with a natural ingredient that has moisturizing properties is ideal. Vegetable glycerin, in particular, is a humectant, meaning it will draw moisture towards your hair.

Ingredients

10 drops of castor oil [arandi tel]

15 drops of vegetable glycerin

2 tbsp. of almond oil [badam tail]

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together.

Apply the mixture along the length of your hair. Massage the mixture into your scalp with gentle circular strokes.

Leave it on for 2 to 3 hours. Follow with your shampoo and conditioner.

Use once a week.

"I’ve been using their entire Rosemary & Amla Hair Oil, Shampoo & Conditioner, and I’ve seen [a] noticeable difference in my hair. I started having less hair fall as well as less gray hair, compared to what I had before."

2. DIY Oil Mix to Deeply Nourish Your Scalp & Support Hair Growth

Your scalp is an important factor for healthy hair growth, too. It serves as the conduit between your bloodstream and hair. Essential, hair-friendly compounds like protein and iron travel from your bloodstream, through your scalp, and into your hair follicles. However, if your scalp is inflamed or irritated, its ability to supply nutrients to your hair follicles becomes impaired, which leads to slower hair growth.

Natural oils are able to reverse this damage because as we mentioned above, they are rich in fatty acids that deeply penetrate your scalp and start the healing process. Massaging your scalp with these oils can also promote hair growth because this helps stimulate blood circulation in your scalp. If you’re already applying a natural oil like coconut oil or sunflower oil on your hair strands, make sure to get some of it massaged into your scalp so that it receives some nourishment.

Ingredients

15 drops of Vitamin E oil

1 tbsp. of sunflower oil

2 tbsp. of coconut oil

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together.

Apply the mixture along the length of your hair. Massage the mixture into your scalp with gentle circular strokes.

Leave it on for 2 to 3 hours. Follow with your shampoo and conditioner.

Use once a week.

3. DIY Neem Hair Oil for a Healthy Scalp & Stunning Hair

Because your scalp provides a lot of nourishment to your hair follicles, you need to ensure that it is healthy and clean in order to promote hair growth. For example, a bacterial or fungal infection is capable of damaging your hair follicles, causing inflammation, and making your hair strands more brittle. Plus, your hair follicles can become clogged from the accumulation of excess oils and dead skin cells. Both of these effects can make your scalp uncomfortable and lead to issues like hair loss and slower hair growth.

To remedy this, we need to use a natural ingredient that has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Neem is one such ingredient. It can be applied and massage into your scalp to unclog your hair follicles and cleanse your scalp in the process. Neem is also anti-inflammatory, which means that it helps reduce swelling, itchiness, and redness your scalp may be experiencing. Many people use neem as a natural DIY conditioner for thick, shiny hair, and it is easy to see why.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of neem powder

½ cup of olive oil

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together in a steel pan.

Warm the mixture over low heat for one hour. Afterward, strain the mixture.

Apply the mixture along the length of your hair. Massage the mixture into your scalp with gentle circular strokes.

Leave it on for 2 to 3 hours. Then, use your shampoo and conditioner.

Use once a week.
