Rough hands and rough feet: nobody likes how they look, let alone how they feel. While we may be able to hide rough feet in socks and shoes, wearing mittens and gloves all the time to hide rough hands can be uncomfortable for you. Not only that, but rough hands can also be a visible sign that our skin is aging prematurely, even if that’s not the case elsewhere. If you aren’t moisturizing your skin on a regular basis, you must start because that is capable of providing a lot of relief. However, moisturizing isn’t as effective when there are a lot of dead cells accumulating on the surface of your skin. Therefore, to complement a moisturizing routine, you should use a hand and foot scrub and start exfoliating your skin.
Here are 3 Himalayan salt hand and foot scrubs recipes that you can use to get soft, smooth hands and feet. Himalayan salt is an awesome natural ingredient that helps speed up exfoliation. No matter what the season is, youthful hands and feet are always lovely to have. Don’t let your job, the weather, et cetera, keep your skin looking rough. Use these remedies and start scrubbing your skin right away.
1. Vitamin E & Himalayan Salt Scrub to Exfoliate Rough Hands & Feet
Many of you might not even know what Himalayan salt is. It can be found in your local natural foods store or in an artisan store as various light fixtures, but you may have no idea why people love this salt so much. Plus, since you have easy access to table salt, you may also be wondering why you should use Himalayan salt for these scrubs instead. Well, the difference between the two lies in how they are produced. Table salt can be extracted from any salt mine, after which it is refined and processed until it is mostly sodium chloride, if not a pure version. Himalayan salt, on the other hand, is specifically derived from Pakistan, near the Himalayas; after it is mined and crushed into tiny pieces, it can be used right away.
Because Himalayan salt is typically unrefined, it is more natural than table salt. Himalayan salt contains trace elements and more minerals, some of which are responsible for the salt’s signature color. As a result, Himalayan salt is thought to be a bit healthier than table salt, which is why many people prefer to use it in their cooking. When it comes to skin care, Himalayan salt is great for exfoliating your skin, especially those rough hands and feet.

2. Almond Butter & Himalayan Salt Scrub for Soft, Smooth Hands & Feet All Year Long
With the weather steadily getting colder, now is a great time to start exfoliating your hands and feet. Of course, you won’t be able to show off those feet in this weather since sandal season is over, but if you don’t start now, the fall and winter seasons might be a rough experience for you, literally. Cold temperatures and low humidity typically accompany one another, which is bad news for your skin. This weather combination can strip moisture from your skin, making it rougher in texture. Since your hands are more likely to be vulnerable than other parts of your body, they might become dry and cracked after long periods of cold exposure. However, your feet may also be susceptible to this weather because of dry, tight-fitting socks and shoes; your feet will be warm underneath all those layers, but you should watch out in case they start becoming rougher.
To remedy this, we need to scrub our hands and feet regularly so that they stay soft and smooth for the entirety of fall and winter. Himalayan salt will allow us to do just that because its texture helps slough up dead cells easily. If you want to get ready for sandal season next year, now’s a great time to start!

3. Avocado, Castor Oil & Himalayan Salt Scrub for Glowing, Youthful Hands & Feet
Although you could scrub your skin with Himalayan salt by itself, why not combine Himalayan salt with a few other natural ingredients and make a home remedy? In fact, depending on the ingredients, the Himalayan salt home remedy can be quite beneficial for your skin and leave it not only soft and smooth but also glowing and youthful. For example, avocados are rich in nutrients that are capable of elevating the quality of your skin. The protein in avocados can improve collagen production while the various vitamins in avocados can increase cell renewal. Similarly, castor oil contains many fatty acids (such as ricinoleic acid), which nourish your skin and help prevent your skin’s moisture loss.

1 tsp. of avocado paste
1 tbsp. of fine Himalayan salt
Castor oil, as needed
