While most fruits are seasonal, bananas are one of the rare lucky exceptions. Regardless of the weather, the season, or your location, you can enjoy a tasty banana at any point during the year. Bananas are a tropical fruit so eating one or drinking its juice can be a perfectly sweet and soothing treat, especially if it’s too hot to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. Just remember to eat it once it turns yellow!

Because bananas are grown and harvested year-round, it is incredibly easy to create a home remedy with one. Bananas are anti-aging natural ingredients; they can help firm up sagging skin and diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles, especially if you combine it with other anti-aging ingredients like Vitamin E. Keep reading to learn 3 banana and Vitamin E home remedies that can help you attain a more ageless complexion. No matter what time of year it is, you can use any of these home remedies with no problem whatsoever.

1. Banana & Vitamin E DIY Remedy to Minimize Free Radical Damage & Get Ageless Skin

Many people consider bananas to be an all-natural botox. This fruit can help you get ageless skin because it is a good source of antioxidants, for instance, lutein. Antioxidants are compounds that your skin needs to combat free radicals and eliminate the damage they can do to our skin cells. Without antioxidants, free radical damage can accumulate to the extent that our skin will start to look lifeless and lines and wrinkles may look far more pronounced than normal. Therefore, using bananas externally can firm up sagging skin and help it look youthful for as long as possible.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of mashed ripe banana

5 drops of Vitamin E oil

5 drops of vegetable glycerin

⅛ tsp. of turmeric powder

Chickpea flour [besan], as needed

Instructions

Mix the banana, Vitamin E oil, vegetable glycerin, and turmeric together. Add enough chickpea flour to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply the paste and leave it on for 15 minutes.

Wash the paste off with warm water. Follow with your toner, serum, and lotion.

Use once a week.

“My face feels balanced: not too oily, not too dry. It really is perfection.”

2. Banana & Vitamin E DIY Remedy to Fade the Look of Fine Lines & Wrinkles

In addition to antioxidants, bananas contain a lot of important nutrients. Some of these nutrients can benefit your skin and reduce the appearance of premature signs of aging, especially when you use bananas externally. For example, Vitamin A and Vitamin C, both of which are also antioxidants, can take good care of your skin. Vitamin A can speed up cell reproduction. By encouraging the growth of new skin cells, Vitamin A can help your skin shed the dead cells within the upper layers, allowing those new cells to come to the surface. Over time, Vitamin A can reduce the appearance of not just lines and wrinkles, but also dark spots, blemishes, and hyperpigmentation. Meanwhile, Vitamin C has been studied to improve the production of collagen, a protein your skin needs if you want it to be soft, plump, and firm. More collagen can ensure that your skin will not have to age prematurely or that it is not sagging.

Given the number of nutrients found in bananas, you should try to incorporate more bananas into your lifestyle, either by eating them or putting them on your skin.

3. Banana & Vitamin E DIY Remedy to Soothe & Nourish Dry Skin

Although it isn’t prominently found in bananas, Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is important to anti-aging. It has been studied extensively for its anti-inflammatory and free radical-scavenging properties. Vitamin E can be found in many natural ingredients, but when you use Vitamin E oil on your skin, you can intensely nourish your skin cells and take good care of your skin. Bananas can hydrate your skin, too, due to the Vitamin A, potassium, and inherent moisture found in bananas. Combining these 2 natural ingredients can help alleviate any dryness, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and firm up sagging skin.
