How to use pineapple and papaya to fade hyperpigmentation of skin

Hyperpigmenation of skin is not at all an uncommon issue. In fact it might be up there at the top of the list when it comes to skin concerns. The most obvious and stubborn form of hyperpigmentation is melasma, which women face when hormones undergo a shift. This could be during pregnancy or right after giving birth. Menopausal hormone shift is a leading cause of melasma. As hormones find a stable point this form of hyperpigmentation tends to fade away. However this can take years and in the meantime women are known to try various methods and procdeures in the desire to lighten the dark patches.

Excess tanning can give rise to dark patches and spots; also a form of hyperpigmentation. If the exposure to direct sun is extended and continuous, the resulting hyperpigmenation can become very stubborn and hard to manage.

Acne scarring or blemishes due to burns or other injuries also leave the skin pigmented.

In short hyperpigmentation is a situation where the skin produces a lot of melanin resulting in freckles, age spots, dark pacthes or post acne blemishes.

Modern technology and procedures promise results, but the fact is that most of these methods leave the skin vulnerable to even more damage. As the skin is made thin by aggressively stripping off the top layers, it is left very likely to get damaged by the slightest exposure to the sun. Thin and compromised skin also tends to become red, inflamed and prone to signs of early aging. Chemical peels are the worst, in my opinion. They are very harsh, and many people have told me how their pigmentation only got worse after a few sessions.

In any case I love to come back again and again to the miracles of nature. In this short video I share an extremely easy homemade DIY remedy to help lighten pigmentation and bring a healthy glow to the skin. Without any undue aggression of course. Use this face mask remedy 1-2 times a week and always remember to have a complete daily and weekly skin care routine that has natural exfoliating products in it. Make sure to use products for your skin type, which you can find on this page.
