5 Coconut Oil Home Remedies To Fade Wrinkles & Firm Up Your Skin

A search for the elixir of youth is perhaps as old as time itself. Aging is normal; it stared the day we were born. Premature aging is sad and unwelcome. It reflects an accelerated wear and tear of the body, which takes a toll on our external appearance as well.

Years of poor lifestyle and diet shows eventually as our skin starts to lose its radiance and firmness. Stress adds to the equation. So what is the solution? Does an elixir exist? I say yes. No in the sense that it is a magic wand or a secret potion, but in the sense of it being present in everyday foods. They say food is medicine. I agree and will add to it this: foods have anti-aging properties as well.

I have often been asked if there is a way to reverse the damage of years and if it is possible to somehow slow down the aging process, if not stop it entirely. My answer is a big yes. From personal experience, I felt more vital, youthful and radiant almost as soon as I made some serious changes in my own lifestyle. I turned vegan, ate fresh & organic foods, used Apsara products exclusively for my skin care.

What you see today as www.apsaraskincare.com was actually a small project born in my kitchen. I wanted to make my own skin care products without harsh chemicals and with very high quality natural ingredients.

Let’s focus on one ingredient today. Coconut oil. It can become an ideal partner when it comes to taking care of your skin externally so it does not age prematurely. Coconut oil is present in all Apsara lotions.

In addition to the factors discussed earlier, sometimes environmental factors such as sun damage or weight loss can take years off your skin. However, you don't have to seek answers in invasive cosmetic surgeries or harsh chemicals. Needless to say these quick fixes often do more damage than good. Ancient wisdom wins hands down.

Coconut oil has been researched in the modern scientific context and has been shown to be a superstar skin care ingredient that can fade the look of lines, wrinkles and in general slow down the skin’s aging rate by providing it superior nutrition.

Particularly of note are the natural antibacterial and anti fungal properties of coconut oil that make it work its magic. It is a great source of medium chain fatty acids (MCTs) like lauric acid, which has been shown to have anti-bacterial properties.

It is coconut oil’s rich fat profile, which helps its mend the skin cell membranes and deeply nourish them. As a result they are able to hold on to far more hydration and your skin ends up looking dewy and plump with the look of wrinkles and lines far reduced. A great analogy is that of a dry sponge looking uneven and with holes and dents, but as soon as it is dipped in water, the same sponge looks plump and far more even-surfaced. However it not only hydration that your skin thrives on. If you desire flawless skin that remains youthful for as long as possible, you must have a complete daily and weekly skin care routine externally. Internally your diet must be of high nutrient quality and your stress levels must be low.
