Rosewater has become one of the hottest trends as of late. The sight of rosewater alone makes it Instagram-worthy, and it has appeared on the ingredients list of countless beauty products, especially all-natural products that can firm up the skin. However, rosewater is no secret in Ayurveda. It has been used for thousands of years in Ayurveda to tone the skin and help it look soft and hydrated. That’s because rosewater is brimming with nutrients that help you get glowing, youthful skin in no time.

If your pores are starting to look more noticeable or your skin is starting to sag, rosewater is a fantastic natural ingredient to use to minimize these skin issues. Continue reading to learn 3 homemade rosewater remedies that can close open pores and firm up your skin. We encourage you to try at least one of the remedies the moment you get a chance not only because rosewater is incredibly skin-friendly, but also because it is deeply aromatic. Using rosewater on your skin can be quite uplifting and leave you in a great mood all day.

1. Rosewater Is a Perfect Skin Toner That Minimizes Open Pores

Rosewater is made when rose petals are distilled into water. This natural ingredient has become an essential component of many skin care products, even Apsara’s very own facial toners. Even if you use rosewater by itself, it can still tone your skin like no other natural ingredient. Because rosewater has astringent properties, it helps close the appearance of open pores and tighten up your skin. Regardless of your skin type, rosewater can also eliminate any excess oiliness so your skin isn’t greasy and hydrate your skin cells sufficiently so it isn’t dry. And if that wasn’t enough, rosewater is an excellent skin balancer, preserving your skin’s natural pH so that your skin stays healthy and protected against pollutants and impurities. Just a quick spritz or dab of rosewater will do to get a softer, plumper, dewier, and more youthful complexion.

2. Rosewater Can Firm Up Your Skin & Keep It Youthful

Rosewater is also an anti-aging natural ingredient, and it can be used to firm up your skin. In addition to its pore-tightening properties, rosewater is rich in antioxidants that help your skin combat free radicals. Free radicals are molecules that damage your skin cells; they may be responsible for your sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. Antioxidants undo the damage done by free radicals so that your skin continues to look youthful and firm. Some important antioxidants found in rosewater include Vitamin A and C, both of which have been studied to slow the rate of aging and encourage collagen production.

Plus, rosewater is antibacterial; as rosewater hydrates your skin and keeps it looking youthful, rosewater cleanses your pores and minimize acne breakouts. As a result, using rosewater on your skin can leave it looking ageless as well as spotless.
