Even though you shouldn’t stress out over fine lines and wrinkles, in reality, it’s very difficult not to. It just takes one tiny inkling of a wrinkle to ruin a look and give you another thing to worry about. “What wrinkle?” you ask, clearly in denial, as you bust out skin care product after skin care product, trying to contain a situation that feels like is growing by the second. You don’t want to care that much, but at the same time, you wish that you didn’t have to see your face aging every time you look into a mirror.

However, you don’t have to let your wrinkles and fine lines become a familiar sight in the mirror. You can reclaim your youth simply by using fruits on your skin. It’s as simple as that. Fruits are anti-aging powerhouses, and these 7 fruit home remedies can help you diminish those premature signs of aging easily and achieve youthful skin.

1. Blueberries to Eliminate Free Radical-Causing Wrinkles with Vitamin C

Blueberries are extremely powerful antioxidant-rich fruits. One of those antioxidants is Vitamin C. This particular vitamin is essential for collagen production and healthy, youthful skin. Getting more antioxidants in your daily skin care routine is important because they eliminate free radicals in your skin. Free radicals can damage your skin cells and cause the overall health of your skin to gradually deteriorate. Free radicals can slow down collagen production and increase your chance of developing fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, et cetera, both of which are not good if you want to avoid early aging. Therefore, you must use blueberries to protect your skin and start erasing signs of aging.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of mashed blueberries

¼ tsp. of apple cider vinegar (ACV)

Instructions

Mix the ingredients together.

Apply and massage your skin with this home remedy for 3 to 5 minutes. Leave it on for 10 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with a daily skin care routine based on your skin type. Click here to find out what your skin type is.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

2. Mango to Get Ageless Skin with Vitamin A

Vitamin A is another key anti-aging nutrient for youthful skin because it can stimulate collagen and fibroblast production. That’s why skin care products use Vitamin A all the time in their products; they just use a derivative of Vitamin A also known as retinol. By extracting

3. Avocado to Deeply Nourish Wrinkly, Sagging Skin

Vitamin E is yet another anti-aging nutrient and antioxidant important for youthful skin. Without it, our skin would be more inflamed, and it would be riddled with free radicals that can cause premature aging. Avocados also have monounsaturated fats - such as omega-3 fatty acids - that can be incredibly soothing and nourishing to your skin. When your skin cells are healthy and well nourished, they are less likely to develop lines and wrinkles or break down due to free radicals.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of mashed avocado

¼ tsp. of mango powder (amchur)

Oat flour, as needed

Instructions

Mix the avocado and mango powder together. Add enough oat flour to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply and leave the paste on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with your toner, serum, and lotion.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

4. Pomegranate to Refresh Your Skin with Antioxidants

Pomegranates have an excellent antioxidant profile, containing a numerous amount of polyphenols, flavonoids, tannins, and other compounds. For example, ellagic acid can stop collagen from breaking down due to UV radiation or free radicals. Punicic acid, on the other hand, helps our skin retain moisture and thus, can be used to reduce dryness and decrease inflammation and fine lines. Using pomegranates on your skin can keep your skin looking fresh and youthful for a long time, especially since it is thought that pomegranates can bestow some protection against sun damage.

Usage Tip

Dab pomegranate juice onto your skin. After 3 to 5 minutes, wash your skin with warm water. Then, use your toner, serum, and lotion.

5. Watermelon to Hydrate Dry Skin & Reduce Fine Lines

Because watermelons are made of mostly water, you can use this anti-aging fruit to hydrate your skin and prevent skin issues associated with dryness. Plus, watermelon has lycopene,

which is an antioxidant - specifically, a carotenoid - that can improve collagen production, alleviate signs of aging, and keep your skin firm and youthful. You can tell if your watermelon has a lot of lycopene by denoting the color; redder fruits are associated with higher levels of lycopene.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

6. Pineapple to Exfoliate Dead Skin Cells & Signs of Aging

Pineapples do have Vitamin C, but they are also notable due to an enzyme called bromelain. This enzyme is a fantastic anti-aging exfoliator, meaning it can gradually remove the dry and dead skin cells on the surface layer of your skin. This effect softens the skin, allows newer skin cells to come to the surface, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (which often pop up because of dry or inflamed skin). By regularly exfoliating the skin, you are keeping your face looking dewy, plump, and more youthful.
