Vitamin C has long been well-regarded for boosting your immune system, but not many people know that Vitamin C is good for your skin too. That’s right! If you’ve ever noticed that healthy people often have a glow about them, it may be because they’re getting their daily intake of this nutrient. Yet another reason to drink a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning.

It’s really easy to get enough Vitamin C in your diet as long as you eat enough fruits and vegetables, but did you know that it can be a part of your skin care routine too? Incorporating Vitamin C into your skin care products ensures that your skin is directly receiving this amazing nutrient. While you could buy a Vitamin C serum on the market, why not go directly to the source? The same natural foods that are rich in Vitamin C can be transformed into remedies that can improve your skin glow and make your skin more ageless. Here are 10 natural remedies you can use on your skin right now if you want skin that is vibrant and flawless.

1. Kiwi Remedy to Boost Your Collagen Production

One of the best things Vitamin C can do for your skin is promote the production of collagen. Naturally and over time, the collagen and elastin in your skin break down, and these two proteins are responsible for our skin elasticity. Without them, our skin would sag and develop lines and wrinkles quickly. However, Vitamin C can help reverse the aging process and make our skin look ageless for a long time. When it comes to kiwis, although they are tiny, they are bursting with Vitamin C, 137.2 mg per serving, even more so than an orange. When you feed your skin all of this Vitamin C, you are boosting your skin’s youthful radiance and keeping it supple.

Ingredients

1 tsp. of mashed kiwi

½ tsp. of almond oil

Water, as needed

Instructions

Mix the kiwi and almond oil together. If needed, add enough water to the mixture until you get the consistency of ketchup.

Apply the remedy. Leave it on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water and follow with your toner, serum, and lotion.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

"Apsara’s products are very gentle; they’re very nourishing. And the fragrance is amazing; it’s heavenly. It’s difficult for me to select a particular favorite product of mine, but I do enjoy using the Rose Dew Toner and I also love the Essence of Lavender Lotion."

2. Mango Mask for Hydrated, Youthful Skin

Mangoes are a great source of Vitamin C (122 mg per fruit). When you combine mangoes with the vegetable glycerin (a natural ingredient with humectant properties), your skin will look more ageless, and it will be properly hydrated.

Ingredients

1 tbsp. of mashed green mango

10 drops of vegetable glycerin

Oat flour, as needed

Instructions

Mix the green mango and vegetable glycerin together. Add enough oat flour to the mixture until you get a thick paste.

Apply and leave the mask on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash it off with warm water. Follow with a daily skin care routine based on your skin type. Click here to find out what your skin type is.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

3. Mango Mask to Eliminate Free Radicals in Your Skin

Vitamin C improves your skin’s ability to produce more collagen, but it is also an antioxidant. Antioxidants are essential to the health of your skin because they neutralize

compounds known as free radicals, which can do serious damage to your skin, for example, early aging. Thus, incorporating more antioxidants into your skin care routine can lead to more youthful skin. Because of the superior Vitamin C capabilities of mangoes, this natural ingredient is excellent if you want an anti-aging skin care routine that can lead to more flawless skin.

Ingredients

¼ tsp. of mango powder

¼ tsp. of turmeric powder

1 tbsp. of oat flour

Almond milk, paste

Instructions

Mix the mango powder, oat flour, and turmeric together. Add enough almond milk to the mixture until you get a paste.

Apply the mask and leave it on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash the mask off with warm water. Use your daily skin care routine afterward.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

4. Lemon Juice Excess Oil Absorbing, Skin Brightening Remedy

In addition to containing Vitamin C, lemon juice is a well-known astringent. When it is applied to your skin, lemon juice absorbs excess oil and it tightens open pores, which results in skin that is firm and not oily. Lemons and lemon juice are easily available so you don’t have to worry about pale skin any longer with this remedy.

Ingredients

12 drops of lemon juice

1 tbsp. of rice flour

Rosewater, as needed

Instructions

Mix the lemon juice and rice flour together. Add enough rosewater to the mixture until you get a thick paste.

Apply the remedy. Leave it on for 12 to 15 minutes.

Wash the remedy off with warm water. Follow with your toner, serum, and lotion.

Use 1 to 2 times a week.

Maryam

Thanks for your great “natural remedies “. I believe a lot of products on the market have chemicals and such added it makes it really difficult.
Also, would like to know about blemishes and dark pigmentation spots on extremities and how to lighten/ get rid of them. If you could do a video or something, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks

Reena
